The Club
The CFBA has been created in 2000. Our
goal is preservation, recognition and promotion of the American Bulldog.
We affiliated to USABC which is the only organization in USA to apply for
recognition by AKC.
We're communicating on our breed in France and over Europe and are organizing
shows since the creation of the club. Our magazine "La gazette..."
is one of the tools we're using to inform our members and the owners. But
we often zoom on some ABs that do some interesting things for the breed:
Therapy dog, research, harnessing competition against dogs from other breeds
etc...
We promote wellness for the dog and a healthy breed. We encourage any health
test (heart, joints etc...)
Our members must DNA, Score hip and are encouraged to train their dogs in
obedience, agility, harnessing and other sportive disciplines. We strongly
recommend them to pass the CSAU test (equivalent of the good citizen test)
and further up in obedience.
